How do I write a LinkedIn post from a podcast?
Write a LinkedIn post from a podcast by choosing one claim and one example, not by summarizing the episode. The tool page drafts that post. This guide is the edit.
Choose one moment
A podcast hour contains greetings, recaps, and several ideas. A LinkedIn post fails when it tries to be fair to all of them. Listen for the line you would repeat to a colleague. That line is the post. The rest can stay in the episode.
Search the transcript for that line and check the wording. If a name is wrong, fix it before you draft. RepurposeKit can generate the post from the episode on the podcast-to-LinkedIn page. Come back to this guide when the draft is too broad and you need to cut it to one idea.
Write for someone who will not press play
Open with the claim. “We just published an episode about leadership” is a status update. “The hiring scorecard failed because it measured confidence” is a post. Follow with the example that makes the claim specific, in the guest’s situation, not in abstract advice.
Short paragraphs are easier on a phone. Two or three beats are enough: claim, example, what you would do next. End with a question only if you actually want the replies. A fake question plus a link is still an ad.
Keep it different from the newsletter
The newsletter can carry three takeaways for people who opted in. The LinkedIn post has to earn a stranger. If you paste the email into LinkedIn, the opening will sound like it assumes a relationship you do not have with that reader. Cut to the single strongest point.
The newsletter feature page describes what an episode email includes. The podcast-to-newsletter page is the podcast email job. This guide stays on the LinkedIn edit so those three URLs answer three different questions.
Sound like the show
Save a brand voice if the show has words it never uses and a tone people recognize. New drafts follow it. The voice does not publish the post and does not rewrite an old one. Read the draft and delete a sentence that sounds like a generic creator template.
Agencies should switch the saved voice before generating for another client. The samples are style, not facts. Do not let a previous client’s metric leak into this post because it was in an old sample.
Publish it the day the episode ships
The post is a companion, not a second launch three weeks later. Draft it when the episode is locked, edit the first line, and copy it into LinkedIn. RepurposeKit will not post it for you. There is no subscription for the draft. The product is free.
If the first line only makes sense after you hear the intro, it is not ready. Rewrite it until a person who has never heard the show can tell you what the post believes.
How to use it
- Pick one claim. If the episode made three points, the post gets one of them.
- Add one concrete line. A step, a before-and-after, or a sentence the guest would repeat.
- Write the first line alone. It has to make sense if nobody clicks “see more.”
- Link the episode last. The link is the deeper version, not the whole post.
Questions
- Should I summarize the whole episode?
- No. One claim and one example. The episode holds the rest.
- Where is the draft generated?
- On the podcast-to-LinkedIn page. This guide is how you edit that draft.
- Can the same episode also become an email?
- Yes. Use the podcast-to-newsletter page for the email, and keep the openings different.
